What is a Pikler Triangle?
Emmi Pikler, a Paediatrician in the 1930s/40s, was passionate about allowing babies and children to learn and master skills at their own pace and develop in the way nature intended.
*Please note that due to the nature of this beautiful handmade wooden item, there may be some imperfections within the wood / paint.
Q: Why is the paint on my item chipped?
The paint can sometimes be 'chipped' due to being sanded to ensure the item is smooth, or due to small amounts of movement when being machined. 'Chipped' ends of rungs are hidden when assembled and should measure less than 1mm x 2mm.
Q: There appears to be some wood missing?
Sadly, wood is not perfect and small voids do happen. This is why S&R use “ply”wood. It is made up from 15 layers of wood. Imperfections of the ply will make absolutely no difference to the structural strength of the item.
Q: Why are the screws hard to screw in?
The Sawdust & Rainbows Pikler Triangles has been CE, UKCA, ASTM, CCPA and ISO tested for safety, and as such due the nature of the product, it is necessary for the screw holes to be drilled only fractionally larger than the screws itself. This means that the screws are able to bite into the wood grain, making the product stable and secure. We advise using an electric screwdriver when assembling your climbing frame which makes the process much quicker and easier.
